The Introduction of Anti Blue Light

Although the concept of anti-blue light has been popular for many years, there are still many people who do not fully understand it. Only know or see that blue light pens are tested to filter harmful blue light. But don't know how much to filter? How much is appropriate? It's also blue light resistant and can pass the most basic card tests. It doesn't prove that it functions up to par. This test is the easiest and useless.

According to our test, as long as it can filter 10% of blue light, it can pass the above test. So this test is useless. For clear lenses, at least 15% of blue light needs to be filtered to be effective. For people who work under blue light for a long time, some need to filter more than 70% of blue light. This can be achieved with the help of tinted lenses.

The video below is a simple spectrometer testing process. Obtain three sets of data, orange lens, yellow lens, transparent anti-blue lens. We can see that are: 0.1, 21.7, 81.2. Indicates that only 0.1% of blue light can pass through the orange lens. Filter out 99.9%. The pass rate of yellow lenses was 21.7, and the filter rate was 78.3%. Clear lenses pass 81.2% and filter out 18.8%.

The film layer of the lens has a great influence on the effect of filtering blue light, the blue coating will increase the filtering effect, and the green coating will decrease. Such as the above 18.8%. If use blue coating, it can reach about 30%. If the blue coating  filters 22% of the lenses, and a 18% green film lens. The latter will be better. Because if the coating is wiped off during use, the anti-blue light effect will be useless. If the lens does not have a blue light filter material in production, but only uses a blue coating to achieve this test effect. lower cost. But there are more problems.

When you understand this, you can choose different lenses according to your needs, such as playing computer games for a long time, you can choose orange lenses, driving at night, you can choose driving lenses, and normal scenes such as offices, choose transparent lenses. Clear lenses and yellow driver lenses are widely used, so they can be used as prescription lenses. Few people need a prescription for orange lenses. Therefore, the factory does not produce, because toning to 0.1% requires a large batch.
