When looking at the optometry sheet, as long as you grasp a few main letters, patients can also understand the optometry sheet. The general situation is as follows:
1. R: represents the right eye, and the following data is for the right eye;
2. L: represents the left eye, and the following data is the data of the left eye;
3. S: Refers to the diameter of the sphere, for example, there is a number -2.00 below it, which represents myopia of 200 degrees. The diameter of the sphere is 200 degrees, and the negative sign represents myopia. If it is a positive sign, it indicates hyperopia, and 2.00 is 200 degrees. The values for myopia and hyperopia are the same. If it is+3.00, it indicates hyperopia of 300 degrees;
4. C: Denotes the degree of the cylindrical mirror, which is commonly referred to as astigmatism. If -1.00 is written below it, it indicates that the degree of astigmatism is 100 degrees;
5. A: Represents the axial direction of astigmatism. If a sphere is completely circular, there is no axial direction. If it is elliptical, astigmatism will definitely have differences in the axial direction. Therefore, according to the above example, it generally changes in the 0-180 degree axial direction, such as a value of -2.00 combined with -1.00 × 180 degrees, which means that the patient's right eye is 100 degrees myopic and 100 degrees astigmatic, with the axis of astigmatism at 180 degrees.
